I started writing about a year ago. My goal then was to share experiences with raising a son with severe autism.
Our normal is different than a lot of families. Our normal is also similar to those families living with autism in their homes. I always hope sharing my life with autism helps to inform, educate, and relate to others.
I talk about our village and it is so true. Family, friends, folks in the community, teachers, day program staff, support workers…everyone contributes and everyone makes a difference.
With that in mind, I have decided to make a few changes to my website. The title “Autism Snippets” implies I am sharing small portions of our life with severe autism. My goal has changed to sharing an overall picture of our life.
It is our spice of life, our “Auroma” of life. It’s become more than just snippets, it’s becoming a story. A real story. With all the ups and downs.
I am changing the name of my website to Auroma of Life. I feel this better represents what I am sharing. I hope I can provide some hope, some smiles, some happiness, and some knowledge.
My wonderful hubby, Steve, is making the technical changes. He says there may be some hiccups along the way and he will fix problems as they arise. Both web addresses will work for another year. Thank heavens for Steve, because I know next to nothing about computer stuff.
We are all in this together. You are now a part of our Auroma of Life.
