A New Bed

Brandon has been in need of a new bed for quite some time. And Alex’s old loft bed hasn’t been used in years. So while we are all holed up in the house together, Steve decided to repurpose the old loft into a new one for Brandon.

It wasn’t nearly as easy as Steve had planned and there may have been some yelling and cursing during construction. But it is now done and Brandon seems to like it.

During the build.
It is finished.

I think this is Brandon’s favorite part. He likes the smaller, tighter spaces and this is perfect for him. When it was all finished, he sat in his huge bean bag chair and played Mario Kart for 30 minutes.

Maybe tomorrow, on our first day of the stay home order, I’ll crawl under there with him and we can read a book. And here’s hoping he sleeps okay tonight.

Brandon has autism and likes his structure and routines. It may take him a few days to get the hang of this, but he will. And so will I!

Looks great! What an awesome set up! I have been doing the same – checking off the big repairs that I never had enough time to complete. This time is a blessing!
